With the bunting fluttering and the tea brewing we had a lovely afternoon at Lorraine's home, taking the chance for a chat and catch up with wonderful sandwiches and cakes being served - so much so, that 'doggy bags' were the supplied for the menfolk who missed out. By late August many of the flowers have started to fade so Lorraine had organised some yarn bombing - cheerful crocheted bunting - to be made by members and family  to give the garden a little lift and some fun. There were festoons of colour from the trees and bird cages showed off brightly feathered birds. This was also our opportunity to celebrate Audrey March and her multitude of achievements from her lifetime of giving in the community and her many many years in the WI.
